I use a digital micometer to measure all my cigars. Sometimes I double check the measurement using vernier calipers.

Then I plot everything on a dot graph.

Really adds to the experience when you can study the size trends while smoking.

And if you’re real generous, you could make it $1.41, that way he can measure length as well, as a $1 bill is 6inches long. So, with proper folding you can get pretty accurate in 2 inch increments, if you’re good maybe 1 inch.

I'm not sure what others think, but if it fits the opening well and give you pleasure what difference does the size of the opening, I mean gauge make.

I'm not an older gorilla, but I've gotten used to guessing ring gauges. Not spot on with it, but can usually get pretty close. A bit of OCD goes a long way with that.
