Thumbs up Got to sample a Taboo Special Forces Original Blend yesterday.

Man was it good! I could taste the strength immediately after clipping it and putting it in my mouth. The test draw was excellent, the flavor rich and robust. The taste was great from first light onward. There was some spice and some underlying sweetness, but mostly full, rich tobacco flavor. I was at the Taboo cigar shop and didn't have my camera so, sorry but no pictures.

The shop was pretty smoky and I think that may have prevented me from picking up on the more specific flavor nuances. I sampled the 6 x 60, which had a beautiful dark shiny/oily Maduro wrapper and excellent flavor IMO.

The burn was good, only requiring a couple minor touch ups and the ash ranged from nearly white to dark gray. When I got it down to about two inches left, I could feel it in my belly and my hands and fingers were trembling a little. It was definitely one of the strongest, if not the strongest cigars I've smoked. I nubbed it and the flavor stayed great all the way down. It never got the least bit nasty, bitter or hot (other than to my fingers at the very end).

I would liked to have purchased a whole bundle, but am trying to watch my cigar budget, so I grabbed 10 of the 6 x 60s, 5 of the HSG 6 x 60s (man I love these too) and a 6 x 56 Special Forces Original Maduro Torpedo, that I plan to use for a review with pictures ASAP.

In a post here on CS where we were asked who most influenced us on this wonderful slope, if I recall correctly I said myself. I may have to change that and place some blame on Rob of Taboo Cigars. The fine cigars paired with the excellent customer service and hospitality and the great sale prices all kicked up my speed down the slope like the turbo in my WRX/TR...

I have been thinking about ordering some 6 x 56 Special Forces Original Maduro Torpedo from Taboo. They do look quite tasty, I may need to come off some of my tax rebate.

I bought a couple of singles along with a box of the Boot Camp. Wanted to make sure they weren't too strong for me after reading Rob's warnings concerning them.....although considering some of the stuff I have been smoking from JBI's samplers I think I can handle strong cigars. I think John prefers nuclear smokes!

I talked to Rob Friday and asked about some samplers.
There should be some on his site by now.
I'd like to try a bunch of his blends because they sound like they really go to my tastes. Normally I'd just buy a few bundles and see how it goes.
I'm starting to be a bit more patient though.
I'm gonna go shopping...

CigarDoc (Chris) was here in Tallil not too long ago and was singing praises about the Taboo SF's.

Guess he's not alone anymore!!
