Padron 80th in the house, for the house

My wife and I are closing escrow on our new house this Friday and I picked up my celebratory smoke - a Padron 80th. I have never spent $30 on a single stick before (not even for cc's) but I needed something that really felt like a celebration. I'm still somewhat of a newbie so this smoke may be over my head but I am sure looking forward to it. We'll just have to see if I can taste the price in each puff. Either way, nothing will dampen my mood on Friday when I am handed the keys!!

That's why I'm getting all my big buys in now, because once those new mortgage bills start coming in I may be a frequent visitor to TXMatt's cheap cigars thread! Here I come, thecigarfo!!!

Yes, Congrats. I'm a big 80 whore and have purchased many a boxes of Maduros and just got a box of Naturals. See my post.
Smoke it after lunch or dinner and enjoy.

Congratulations on the new house, an 80th is certainly special enough to commemorate something like that.

Congrats on the house. New house can be a real big thing. You couldn't have picked a better smoke to celebrate with. Have two boxes myself and have enjoyed many! Take the advice given and have a nice full meal first. Then enjoy what I believe to be one of the best cigars available at this time.

Congratulations on the new purchase - an investment for life and future.

A celebratory cigar is definitely in order, and you chose wisely.

Enjoy!!

Yeah, I've heard these are strong. I will have a nice celebratory meal (hopefully a big ribeye) first.

And thanks to all for the congrats. This isn't our first home, but it's the first since our daughter was born over a year ago and one we will hopefully stay in for a long time. So it is much more exciting than when we bought our condo.

Cheers!
