Organized Cigar Tour / Gorilla Crawl
Does anyone have any experience with or know about any sort of organized cigar factory tours?
My wife and I have been looking at various vaction packages (not related to cigars) and there are all-inclusive resorts, cruises, etc. where there is some sort of semi-organized activities. I'd love to be able to have a somewhat organized romp through the cigar wilderness, but I am just not comfortable doing something like that on my own in other countries that I'm not familiar with. This would be similar to the wine tours that are available. Not looking for an Aficionado tour, just a gorilla stogie crawl. Any info or general tips would be great... or if there are any travel experts among us, anyone want to book a 7-10 day Central American mobile herf? DISCLAIMER: My wife will probably not think this is as wonderful of an idea as I do. Various forms of bribesfor her are currently being explored in case something like this does exist.

Re: Organized Cigar Tour / Gorilla Crawl
My B&M owners always recommends going to Little Havanna and taking tours of the cigar factories down there in Florida. I don't know too much about them, but La Gloria and Pepin and some others are right there.
On cruises, you hardly have more than 8 hours on shore at the ports listed. You might want to visit cruisecritic.com or tripadvisor.com to do some research! |

Re: Organized Cigar Tour / Gorilla Crawl
I had not considered Little Havanna, but that would be much easier to pull off than something in Central America. Although it wouldn't be quite as festive, it would be much easier of a sell with the wife. Thanks for the tip!
