Missing is the wiring for the hydra. The reason that isn't in the pic is because I forgot to pull a wire for the hydra and had to go back and fix it. Duh.

That looks great. Did it have any available headers on the board for you to use?

Didn't even look.
The whole smear is powered by the 350 watt microatx psu in the control box. Check this thread.

That looks great. I just sold my site http://voidedwarranty.com to my staff. I have been thinking about switching out the fans for LED fans but I don't want to mess with the CFM too much.

I used little 60mm fans. They're super thin and quiet. They move more than enough air, but gently enough that I'm very pleased. I figured I'd have to add fan controllers, fortunately there won't be any need.
I noticed that these cathode tubes are borked, or the inducers are.
One tube is very bright (as it should be) and the other is very dead.
I'm going to switch ports on the one in my left display humi to see if it gets right.
I have to screw up all the cigars in the stand, so I'll wait until the hydra is here for that humi before I make a mess.

My main concern with using a higher CFM fan is that it might produce more condensation. Have you experienced that at all?

The fans I used are low cfm. Somewhere around 16, iirc.
Being as the compressor only kicks on for a few minutes to maintain the temp, the fans dry any condensation quickly.
I was concerned that the condensation/drying cycle would send the RH%age to the roof, but it's worked out perfectly. There's been no deviation in RH at all in the right cooler.
In the left cooler my hydra flaked out and failed with the fan full on.
When I caught it the humidity was up to 84%. I dried that winador out today, didn't take long. That made me feel better knowing I must have caught it very quickly.
I tried to get a replacement hydra today. Rob was out. I called Quality Importers (the manufacturer) and they have none. It'll be two weeks until I can get a warranty replacement. I just shook my head.
I'm not having much luck lately.

Re: Project of the Day : Cigar Otopia Metamorphosis Stage One Complete

Just wanted to take a minute to add a couple pics of some mods I've made to the setup.
The Padron 2000's came awhile back and I added them to the control box.
They provide the finished "look" I initially imagined.
This control box project is something I look at a lot. It brings me a lot of joy for a few different reasons. It turned out nicer than I ever imagined from artistic, mechanical, and barnyard engineering standpoints. It looks awesome.
The smile comes in cause when I see it, I can hardly believe I made it. I think it's that cool. It makes me realize that I've been blessed far further than I give myself credit for (and I need to be far more thankful than I am), or I got real lucky with this one.
Either way, I win.
Here's the pics, I'll add some pics of the other mods I've done a little later.

I think I'm going to bring the shelves around the corner. I bought more jars today out of sheer habit. Now there's nowhere to put them. Plus there's nothing in them.
I have a heck of a problem.
