Loungin' - La Aurora - Long Beach - Barrel Aged
I just posted an article on a La Aurora event at Anto's Cigar Lounge in Long Beach, California. A couple of week ago, La Aurora was promoting their debut of a new cigar called the Aurora Barrel Aged.
Below: these are freshly rolled Barrel Aged cigars with uncut foot. ![]() What I thought was cool was that most companies debut their cigars on the East Coast, but La Aurora made it a point to debut their Barrel Aged Cigars on the West Coast. They started out in Arizona and then made their way to California. Now, no offense to our East Coast brethren, but it gets old seeing and hearing about all the new stuff coming out on the East Coast first and then having to wait whilst it filters our way... so it was nice to be first, for a change ![]() There was a roller at the event who was rolling the new Barrel Aged cigars and several people got to try their hand at rolling. It was a fun event. Besides the photos in the article, I added a PHOTO SLIDESHOW. Enjoy! Doc |

Re: Loungin' - La Aurora - Long Beach - Barrel Aged
I will be featuring the Barrel Aged this coming week on my podcast. Those I've tasted up til this point, I like. It's medium in body, but the flavors are unique, at least to my palate. That's one of the things I appreciate about this smoke. In a day and age where so many people are trying to copy the same flavor profile, this cigar breaks out of the mold and presents a new and interesting flavor profile. That's the same thing I noticed (and liked) about cigars like the Oliva Serie V and the Camacho Scorpion.

Re: Loungin' - La Aurora - Long Beach - Barrel Aged
I haven't been into the hobby long enough to see the East Coast favoring, but I do love the WC and am happy about this. Maybe a step in a new direction?
They look darn good too!
