When i lost control and bought too many boxes

Was when i discovered the Humipak/A. Fuente storage bags. Oh my Lord. First i bought one to hold my 'spare' box of CAO Brazilia GOLs that i like to keep around. But i was skeptical about it actually maintaing a good humidity level. Sooo for a few weeks i stuck my hydrometer in there.... 69%, 70%, 70% each check. Damn it works! and for 6 months!

So 14 bucks will get you the XL which holds 25 sticks comfortabley. And now ive just lost control. I have a bag holding a box of Royal Jamacia Gold Robustos, Brazilia GOL, Brazilia Pirhanas, 5 Vegas Limitadas and La Aurora Preferido no 3s. Wow. now that i think of it 14 dollars times 5 is.... about one humidor hahaha well the point is they will store and age nicley WITHOUT TOUCHING THEM!! for 6 months. im still shocked this product works

Thanks for that information, that is really good to know. I am still waiting for my humidor so these should come in handy.

One of these days I may actually order a humidor, until then though, the bags will do just fine.

Re: When i lost control and bought too many boxes

you guys havnt heard about the boveda' packs yet have you we have them, a humi seasoning pack, 72, 69,65 humidities etc. One pack takes care of up to 50 sticks, turns any bigass ziplock into a humidor and at 4 bucks a pop you should look for them, they would solve all your problems

In the long run, wouldn't it be cheaper to just buy a large cooler? 2cents

The humidification in these bags is designed by boveda, so same technology.

I used a boveda pack to help season my humi. I couldn't check how accurate it was though because I didn't recieve my hygrometer yet.

Re: When i lost control and bought too many boxes

Those bags do work very well.
For those boxes I can't fit in my Aristocrat any more, I like taking a stick out to smoke and in its place, I put a DryMistat Cigar Oasis (has gels that expand when RO is added). They cost me an average of around $7-8 on line and allow me to store by sticks in their original box. Each stick keeps 25 perfectly at 70.
