Cool story..

I recently went to a small get together at a friends house. I figured I would take a hand full of cigars in case the opportunity arose to enjoy a stogie. Well, the opportunity came and I passed out a few Aspira Presidente's (I get them from FSS, great deal). Everyone kept commenting how it was the best cigar they ever had, etc. etc.
I know this is a fairly cheap, albeit good every day smoke, but it is amazing the reaction you get from people that have never smoked anything but a cheap machine made from the local convenience store.
I think there are a few guys from that group that have a new appreciation for cigars.
I usually keep a bundle, or cheaper box on hand for events just like this. I'm sure most of you have a similar story but I wanted to share. The reaction from my friends made this $1.50 Honduran a great experience!

Re: Cool story..

It's always nice to keep some "cheapies" on hand for occasions just like this!

Great story!

Re: Cool story..

Kudos! I think a lot of people have never smoked a properly humidified cigar, and a properly humidified $1.50 cigar can beat the pants off a dry $6 cigar from the liquor store.

Re: Cool story..

icehog3, please tell us more about the cigar pants. I have never heard of this.
I do have G I Joe helmets for some of my favorite cigars, but drew the line at hard hats for them. To Village People like and wouldn't want any rumors started. And no these are not cigar dolls. When a battalion of Patrons attack an entrenched Gurkha platoon, it's war...cigar wars.
Just kidding.
That is a cool story Blowin' Smoke. And it is the Gorilla way to pay it forward which you did.
