Re: whats the difference
All about personal preference... I like my cigars around 65% RH.

Re: whats the difference
its mostly a matter of preference, but connecticut wrappers prefer 70% while CC's prefer 65% I keep my humi at 65% because that's how I like all of my cigars. So like many things in cigars, to each their own just don't put it over 70% or mold issues could develop.

Re: whats the difference
keep mine at the 62-65 range, some cigars tend to be alittle dry at this % but they smoke well....the only problem im seeing is the partagas black in this % range. They always need to be re-lite(sp) and have a hard draw. So im trying to see how they'll do with some 70% beads

Re: whats the difference
not really, as many have said its all a matter of preferance,
i prefer mine at around the 62-65 mark, as i find many burn issues are avoided at this RH as opposed to 70, but that could just be me. James

Re: whats the difference
I keep mine in the 63-67% range-fewer burn issues.

Re: whats the difference
When I first started smoking cigars, I kept my RH at 70%, because that was what I read was proper. As I have gotten into the hobby more over the last 10 years, I find that 65% - 67% keeps my cigars much better. At 70% I get a lot of burn problems, draw problems, canooing, etc.At 65%, the cigars burn much more evenly and have less draw problems.
Just my experience. Dave |
