No, I lost track of Rocky's offerings after he released his 37th line extension...

I've never had one though, sorry. My buddy has had a Rocky Patel Cuban Blend though and it is a Torpedo Maduro. He likes them. His member name is Mike607 if you have questions.

Re: Rocky Patel Double Maduro??

I have had one and it was okay, but it seemd to be to fresh. I have a few more resting, but it is definatly not one of Rockies best blends IMHO, but I am sure there are other with a different opinion.

Good morning WyoBob,

I got a fiver of these, I really, really like RPs stuff - these were just okay IMHO. They seemed one dimensional but tasty if that makes sense.

Now that I have said that....

At a good price I would definately pick up a fiver or box because it is good cigar - not great - but good.

I hope that helps.

Re: Rocky Patel Double Maduro??

Thanks for all of the responses. I think I found out what I need to know.

A very generous FN offered to send me a few but after reading his comments and other comments in this thread, I decided to pass on these. I'm more interested in finding a good cigar at a good, everyday price. I wouldn't spend the $$$ on these RP's at their retail price.

I think I'll try to spend some money at Taboos for my next project. I've spent enough with Rocky in the last year. Time to try something new.

Thanks, WyoBob

Re: Rocky Patel Double Maduro??

I dryboxed one of these for a couple days and then forgot about it when I was away on a business trip. When I got home and around to taking it out of there it had been over a week and I expected a very dry stick.

What I found instead was a damn good smoke. Now I give them at least 5 days in a drybox before setting them on fire.
