Re: Helix Cigars??

I have tried both of them. the blue label..natural is mild, but I like a mild stick.

I also have had the purple label..maduro, and it wasn't bad either.

not the greatest sticks, but they are ok.

I have a tendency to like milder, cheaper sticks though..

very few sticks I dislike.

Re: Helix Cigars??

I smoked a lot of the 550 maduros when I 1st started out and liked them very much. Just kinda gave up on them, for no reason other than to try some other smokes....I wouldn't mind revisiting them again.

Richard, I loved the photo of your Helix nub!!! Looks like you chewed on it a bit!

As for my opinion of the Helix Natural: I thought it was flavorless, but a great mild smoke for a first timer (noob).

Re: Helix Cigars??

The only one I've had is the 550 natural. I thought it was okay--just okay. The flavor was very mild, but present. Kinda sweet, with a nice finish and no aftertaste. I haven't gone out of my way to smoke another, and for $3 (B&M) there are others I'd pick up first.

Re: Helix Cigars??

Another too mild vote, I tried one a couple years ago, and I can still remeber thinking where's the flavor, it was very mild. I havent smoked one since.

Re: Helix Cigars??

I had one of the 550 Naturals a while back when I first started smoking cigars. It wasn't bad or anything just kind of boring. Very mild almost flavorless. Like I said not bad, just not that good either.

Re: Helix Cigars??

I've tried a couple of the naturals. They are extremely mild. Although, they may have a little bit more flavor than a Macanudo. So, if you love mild sticks, try them. If you don't, I wouldn't bother.

Re: Helix Cigars??

They are boring cigars. Tried one last year and forgot I was smoking a cigar at one point.

Re: Helix Cigars??

I actually think the Maduro is a lot better than the natural. It is on my list for favorite based on price. I have come to like others more but I would still not hesitate to buy more of the Helix maddies.
