Cooler Humidor

I am sure there is a thread out here for it, however, I can't find one. I am interestesd in building a cooler humidor and was wondering if anyone has a cheat sheet on what has worked best, size, type, brand, etc? Any insight is much appreciated.

Try searching for "coolerador" or "coolador" instead of "cooler humidor". That will yield some results.

I have the $50 special @ Walmart, a digi hygro, some beads and some empty boxes. That is pretty much it.

This thread has a few pics of mine.

http://www.clubstogie.com/vb/showthread.php?t=151078

Holds pretty constant RH, but I'm not that anal about a "rock solid" number. $11.99 Sterlite at Target - 70qt in size.

As to the beads, I find that in my humis and coolador that I bump by a 1/3 of the recommendation and they hold much better,

www.cigarmony.com has some beads to volume recommendations.

Re: Cooler Humidor

Coolerdors on here are more common than humidors. See "The Slope" to explain why.

Re: Cooler Humidor

I went with the Coleman 150qt (I think it was 150qt, the biggest they make anyway) because it had slots for shelves. Add beads and a hygro and you are all set.
