Kids are little humans. Humans have been messing with tobacco since at least 1492 as certain cigar labels tell me. The human species ain't that fragile.

As far as residual smoke affecting kids; I once smoked a Cohiba Siglo II in the garage and then went to see my 3-year-old nephew. Now he thinks all non-Cubans are crap and only wants Cuban residue. Damn residual smoke.
now THAT is funny..

Smoke used to set off my asthma when I was a kid--all kinds of smoke, not just tobacco smoke--but so did dust, grass, animal dander, and several other things. I think that unless your kids are having issues, your doctor is full of crap. There are so many things that you should worry about protecting your kids from that are much more dangerous that "residual tobacco smoke".

I had a college professor that smoked a Candela Churchill while he taught class. I could go on and on but guess what, during this time there was not a pandemic of second hand smoke deaths and if it somehow causes autism half the world would be autistic.. Just a couple more,, I was in the Navy and we used to used a hacksaw on the asbestos insulated steam pipes to cut the insulation off to work on them,, asbestos particles everywhere,, I'm still here but if you have on feather of it in some school the whole school is evacuated.. One more, a few weeks ago a thermometer that had a blob of mercury in it fell to the floor in a local school releasing the mercury on the floor and a portion of the school was evacuated.. When I was in science class back in the 50s the teacher had a spoon full of mercury in a bowl and we were allowed to play with it,,I took some on my finger and rubbed it on a dime and it made the dime very shiny..I'm still here..
The current generation feels that there should absolutely be no risks in life .
Smoking is so demonized now that it is a probable cause for almost everything.

Thanks Jerry I was just going to post something similar.

I'm calling BS on this, and I'm a med student....
Agree, trying to link Autism just goes to show the Doc, was pissing in the wind. I'd change practitioners ASAP... or you could always encase your kids in plastic, Han Solo style.

I`m tired of the crap from doctors. My collsteral is 10 pts over what my doc considered ok and since he takes Lipitor, he says I should too. I finally told him I was here for BP pills, not Lipitor. They make up this crap with no facts to back it up.
