Do you Smoke Cigarettes???

I was just wondering how many people here smoke cigarettes. I have been a smoker for many years, and a cigar smoker for about 2 months. I am getting ready to try quitting cigarettes. I know it win't be easy.... and those here that have quit cigarettes,... if you have any advice... it would be much appreciated.

Smoked my last at approximately 16:50 hours on 1-29-2001 and didn't smoke cigars until about a year ago.

I think cigarettes are disgusting... The habit, the smell, the idea of inhaling all of those chemicals...

Good luck with quiting, you will be glad that you do, you will be able to taste your cigars much better than before.

Never smoked cigarettes. How anybody can smoke a cigarette after seeing the Modern Marvels show on tobacco is beyond me. No mother liquer for me.

I stopped smoking cigarettes in February 2000, after about 25 years. I was walking through the supermarket and saw a nicotine patch display. On a whim, I bought a box. That was the last day I smoked a cigarette.

I've only been smoking cigars for a few months.

smoked cigs for approx 20 years then quit last year and stopped inhaling cigars. feeling a good bit better with my exercise tolerance. for those wanting to stop cigs talk with your doc and ask about chantix (new drug for smoking cessation). tends to have a good quit rate especially with counselling and has fewer side effects than using wellbutrin and nicotine patches.

I used to smoke cigarettes only when I drank, but after I started smoking cigars, I dont want anything to do with cigarettes.

I smoked cigarettes for years...Quit before I got married for 5+ years and stayed with cigars only. I would smoke at work in my car. My assignment changed and I found I could not smoke cigars anymore as I didn't have that 1-2 hours of downtime anymore. Started smoking cigarettes again.

I generally go through phases. I'll smoke cigarettes for a few years, then quit cold turkey without any really bad cravings. Then one day I'll just start again.

I'll always smoke cigars!

Chantix was the only thing that worked for me after 30 years of
those damn coffin nails.

I quit C@mel lites for good 3 years ago. Previous to that I had been a long-time chewer, and cig smoker. I knew the chew was going to do my mouth in much quicker than I would have ever anticipated as a teenager.

My love for tobacco in general eventually led me to the king of kings: Cigars. I'm now attempting to keep that 'moderate' in the hopes of holding on to this hobby for the rest of my life.

I smoke all three, plus I dip Copenhagen occasionally. I got a deathwish, what can I say.

Only Cigars for me. My arc went like this. Cigarette smoker, tried a Kuba Kuba, still smoke cigarettes but start dabbling in cigars, quit cigs soon after, around May of 07 I think.

Haven't had on since and normally have 2 cigars a day.

Good luck on the cigs though. I will tell you what I did that I think helped though, for me anyway. Cigars and quitting smoking was all about the same time, for about a month I would have some Backwoods on me. When I had a cig jones, would have one. Was short and sweet, literally. A pack of 8 lasted 2-3 days.

The Backwoods I guess was my "bridge" to quitting smoking. Plus, after a month I was out of the Backwoods stage and I haven't looked back.

I smoke cloves sometimes.....that isn't truly a cigarette!
