Are there any hotels without smoke-free policys in Fort Collins, CO?

I'm going to attend a pyrotechnic seminar in Fort Collins, CO, 13-17 July. The seminar is held at the Marriott Hotel and I was really depressed when I realized that not only the hotel has a very strict smoke-free policy but also the whole town (or is it the state?) seem to be very smoke unfriendly.

I know of the Edward's Pipe & Tobacco but I really would like to find a hotel which at least has a nice area, lounge or bar, where I can relax with a cigar during mornings and evenings.

Does anyone know of a hotel in Fort Collins where a cigar smoker can stay and be allowed to smoke?

Doh. I forgot to add that part. Fort Collins is up it's own a$$ about how wonderful it is here. I don't think you have any options but Edwards unless you want to go south.

That sounds terrible! I mean Edwards looks like a great place and I will definitely go there as much as I can but how is it possible that the hotels dont even have a place outside where smoking is allowed? Scary!

I guess I might as well book a room at the Marriott then!

How does it work at Edwards, is it ok to sit there and smoke if you are a customer or do you have to be a member?

There is a sperate members lounge in the basment, pool table, big TV, Darts, poker table. Other than that there is a large smoking lounge upstairs for anyone.

Which Marriott though, I'm trying to save you from sleeping in a crack house. It's meth really, but why split hairs.

He is right... I would let him know which hotel lol. As for edward's, don't fret. Just come hang out with Ray (spect) and I as we smoke there all the damn time. It really is a great place to smoke at. We both live a few minutes away from eveything in town since we are right in the middle of Fort Collins.

Oh and as for smoking in the hotel... the only ones I can think of are probably a bit... how shall I say it.. "lower" tiered hotels. Definitely not the nicest places. Of course They probably have a smoking ban since the whole town does!

I have been there before, but it was over ten years ago, and even though the hotel was nothing special I don't think it was too shabby. Maybe it is today? The address is:

Sounds great, I might not show up every day but I will do what I can!

That hotel is pretty nice. Not too shabby at all. It is probably about 2ish miles down the road from Edward's. That hotel is close to Horsetooth and College and Edward's is on Prospect and college. You should be able to relax outside and smoke if you don't want to go to Edward's but I believe you need to be like 25 feet (or something lame like that) away from the buildings? Ray might know the law better he seems to remember crap like that.

Anyhow, we welcome a fellow BOTL to town and would love to smoke with ya a couple of days. Hell, we might even be able to get some of those denver guys up for a make-shift herf in July.

Just curious, what time do you get in on the 13th? If its early enough we can just set up a herf that day and have every one vist!

That one is fine, the lack of methlab is a huge plus. Your staying about 2 minutes from my place and about 1.5 from Zach's. Just holler if you need anything.
