Drinks. Which ones do you like with which cigars?

Hey guys,

Just gathering some info on any good drinks (alcoholic or not) that go well with certain cigars.

I typically like to smoke maduros, med to full bodied with a Dark N Stormy. It's Goslings Black Seal Rum and Ginger beer. It really paires well with a dark spicy cigar because the ginger beer has a little cayenne in it.

Also, I drink a lot of the Lipton Green Tea when I'm smoking during the afternoon, and usually just coffee for my morning smoke. I've also noticed that a little grapefruit juice is very good with a cigar as it almost neutralizes your palate after each drink.

I like coffee, or watered down gatorade/sobe/vitamin water. Any of that kind of stuff.
I make my coffee pretty bland, too.
I like something that just clears my palate and doesn't change it or overtake it.

Coffee in the morning
Pepsi / Water / Tea during the day
Rum or Crown and Pepsi at night.
Also like Six grapes port or Gran Mariner

I go with Coffee in the morning, Coke in the afternoon, and Scotch, or beer, (Corona, or Modelo, I have found I don't like heavy or stout beers with cigars) in the evening.

I like: Scotch, Tawny Porto (with certain cigars), A nice Nut Brown Ale, Mountain Dew, Diet Dr. Pepper, water.

I have been told O.J. is good as well.

For me it depends what I feel like and what I have on hand. Red wine, porto, bourbon, scotch, coffee, water, Dr. Pepper, hot tea, iced tea, martini, whatever!

Im with ya when you said lipton, i always had great experiences with that Arizona green tea in the big ass can, or in the bottle, i used to cruise out to a local park in the afternoon, fire up a stick, and enjoy! Now im trying to get away from all that high fructose corn syrup shit, and stuff that I cannot pronounce so you KNOW its good for you

I am a huge tea drinker though, Fresh, loose leaf, anything directly imported from china, and a little from japan. normally Green's and Oolongs. im still trying to pair a good cigar, with a Pu-erh, but difficult. But when i brew tea i do it neat. nothing, no sugar, no extra.. When i want tea, i drink tea, and lots of it, so the sweetness isnt there that matches well with... a cigar

At the lounge, Coke/ Dr. Pepper/ water ( i dont know why.. i hate how water just.. taints your palate. For me, it does nothing to refresh it.. nothing... its just something to drink, and adds nothing to the experience)

At nights i do alot of bourbon, neat, or on the rocks.. Still not a big fan of scotch. Dark beers are good... Still havent found a nice wine pairing.. Quality rum is always good, and i think i will leave it at that.

Coke (the mexican kind, still has real sugar) amazing with most sticks especially corojo's, coffee, an americano, or OJ with a lighter cigar

It's better than taints watering your palate.

I've not experimented with drinks and cigars too much. But, since I turned 21 last week a whole new world has opened up to me.
I do know that HDM excaliburs and sprite is a nasty combo.

I normally go with coffee or water. I too go with Maduros typically. I also drink OJ with my cigar, wanna spice it up add some Vodka and it's a screwdriver.
