neighbor stole my nubs!

I ordered the Nub sampler special from Cigar.com and tracking show it was delivered to me a week ago. I live in a 6 unit apartment building and mail is delivered inside the building which locks. So it looks like one of my neighbors is a Nub thief. Either that or a post office worker is smoking them and wondering why they are so damn short and fat. Just last week my beaten up full face motorcycle helmet was stolen off my bike in my garage. That one cost me $300.

In positive news, Tim at cigar.com responded immediately and he is sending me a new package. To my work, not my apartment. There has never been a problem here before, I don't know what's going on.

I can picture that now

*knock knock*

A old woman answers the door.

kalvinchris: Excuse me, but are you holding my package?

The old woman stares at him

Old woman: Not yet sonny boy.

She winks at him, then makes gumming motions with her mouth. lol

Sucks to hear about your loss. I had that happen with a book of mine from Amazon.com. They accidentally delivered it next door to where I live and I never got the package. Conveniently the thief's where never home for me to try and retrieve my package.

Sounds like you might want to move. Do you live in a bad area?

Re: neighbor stole my nubs!

If you would like to communicate with the thief perhaps you can place a package addressed to you in the same area where your last one was taken from. Inside you can place a letter appealing to his/her better nature, be creative. This might alleviate some of the frustration and uncertainty. Just an idea.

Just remember the old saying about going around and coming around, knowing that your losses will be replaced.

Replace "letter" with "live snake" and it's an excellent idea.

Damn that sucks sorry to hear about the package.. Glad to hear it is being replaced however.. I would let the management of the complex know that stuff is being stolen.

Re: neighbor stole my nubs!

I guess your mailboxes don't lock? Without question the manager of the apt. needs to be told. Six apts ain't a lot- you might want to keep your nose on alert for cigar smoke!

I actually saw a guy steal a package(it was a CD) from my mailbox. Called the cops, who said that I could file a complaint, but that nothing would likely happen to the guy. So, I got a mailbox that locks. Even tho stealing mail is a FEDERAL offence- unless you're talking beaucoup bucks even the PO doesn't really care and won't do anything about it.

Glad you're getting replacements!
