Best part of owning cigars

you know, cigars are the first hobby of mine (and I hate to use that word, because it's more of a life style than anything else) that truly works for me. I'm a collector and it works on that aspect, and I used to smoke cigarettes and while I enjoyed it, it always made me feel dirty and one step closer to killing myself. With cigars it's more like meditation, I can relax and escape, talk to friends, truly enjoy the experience and not feel worse afterwards. I've only gifted cigars to one person, but it was a great experience. He was still new to the whole thing, only smoking on occasion but truly interested in the experience so I gave him an old 15 count humidor I had and packed it full of a bunch of different great nc's. Needless to say he has a much larger humidor now and I have another good friend to enjoy cigars with.

I really love to share a smoke with a friend, but I only know 3 guys in a hundred mile radius that smoke cigars. I am hoping for more herfs closer to home cuz there is no finer experience than to kick back with a buddy and share a fine stogie.

There is a guy at work I have to work rather close with. The hours are long and the stress level can get quite high. To tell the truth I hate his guts for being a screw up but... I have to accept the fact that he's not going anywhere.

The only thing we have in common is love of the leaf so, we can relate as human beings on that subject. Talking about what we enjoyed last night, what we just bought (or dream of buying) and gifted sticks are good ways to connect.

Savoring a smoke together has saved one or both of our minds or perhaps even a life. I'm sure of it.

There are so many things that I love about cigars.

First: The relaxation that comes from sitting back, slowing down, and relaxing while just thinking about life. (or not).

Second: Sharing a cigar with a friend or a stranger. Better yet if you can smoke it with them. But just knowing that you gave them 30 mins. to 1 hour out of life for them and them only to enjoy.

Third: Cigars brought me to Club Stogie, where I have got to know so many wonderful fellow BOTL. Even thought I have never meet most of you, I feel that we are all truly friends. Hope to meet some of you this year.

Forth: Bombs, Bombs, and more Bombs. Nothing beats blessing/surprising a fellow CS member unexpectingly. on the other hand it is truly awesome to be the recieptant of a bomb knowing that there are people out there that took a minute out of there life to think about you and wish something good in you life.

I pretty much have to agree with everyone, the friendships both in person and online. The relaxing with a cigar after a long day at work. Sharing a cigar with old friends. The taste of a new cigar you just got in or the enjoyment of old favorite. By owning cigars I get all of this and more.
