FWIW, I was in Miami last summer and visited some B&M's on 8th st. There was a shop a cant recall the name (i will find out), but had all unbanded bundles, which supposedly came from their farms in Nic.. They had photos of AS with both the shop owner and his father, at their farm smoking cigars. He said that they commision cigars specifically for him. Will follow up when I talk to my friends that i was with and get you the name. Supposedley they sell to retailers all over (unbanded), and let the retailers either band them.. Didnt buy any, however my friends picked up a couple if i recall correctly they enjoyed them.

It's not Hatuey is it??

I visited their shop in Reno a few years ago . They had a couple of 8x10's of Arnold with Hatuey Family members.
I know they do custom blends, special orders, etc.

I don't know what that cigar is, but it is pretty common knowledge Arnold's official cigar is Daniel Marshal.

I'd love a Fiver if we ever group buy one of these puppies. whatever anyone may say about AS I like the man, came from nothing and nowhere and look at him today, I don't follow the man's political views, but you gotta respect naked ambition fueled by gargantuan will power and discipline (with the work outs he did back in the day).
MEAN eh?

I hope you enjoy your cigar Jbock!!

Had the cigar taxed me, raised the golf taxes and another 1/2 dozen proposed taxes, I would be pretty pissed at it. However, since it didn't, doesn't and won't...I will definitely enjoy it!

I will post a review in a few days! I eagerly await the light up!

Something about having to see that before I reach in and grab a stick just doesn't seem quite right.

Re: Schwarzenegger Cigars (THE REVIEW)

Okay, so tonight, I heard the cries of a certain cigar beckoning me to touch it with a butane torch. Feeling guilt beyond mortal comprehension, I answered the calling and opened the humi.

I removed the cellophane and took a long, slow inhalation. The best I can describe is fragrant. I could not picture what it smelled like, but sweet comes to mind.

The wrapper was flawless. No blemishes, or tears. I used my double guillotine, which was a task, as this puppy was fat enough it just was not happy being placed in such a confining cutter. I took a pre-light draw and the draw was spot on by my standards.

As soon as I began toasting, a cheezy grin came across my face. The aroma was fantastic. I lit her up and immediately was disheartened, as I was hit with a spiciness that would gag a maggot. Being stubborn and not willing to accept failure, I continued (despite despising overly spicy cigars). For the first quarter inch I could not taste anything but spice. Then, to cool my soul, I took a very tiny sip of Weinhardts Cream Soda. I took another draw and the spiciness was gone. The brief moment of terror was well worth the reward.

I am not one who can really define flavors very well. For me either I hated it, tolerated it, liked it, loved it, or wanna marry it. I will try through.

In a previous thread, I mentioned that the Juan Lopez Epi No. 1 is among my personal favorites. Much like the JL, this cigar tasted very similar. It took me back to the times as a kid on the baseball field, chewing the leather ties on my baseball glove. Two differences.....

1) The Schwarzenegger had a very leathery flavor. Much more prominent and identifiable than the JL.

2) I view the JL to be a med-full smoke, whereas the Schwarzenegger was what I would consider to be mild to medium.

The smoke volume was insane and the ash was tight, salt and pepper (more salt than pepper) and held firm at two inches (requiring a tap to free it). On several occasions, the other half walked out and admired the aroma the lit cigar created.

I am still amazed at how leathery the flavor was. I have not tasted anything like this before. It was not until the end of the smoke that I started getting hints of cocoa (very discreet). After the initial spiciness, it never returned.

I wish I could provide more information for you all. What I can tell you, is that it was an absolutely amazing smoke. I wish I had more, or at least knew how to get my hands on more. This was not a very complex cigar, but it was one of the most enjoyable I have smoked.

I finally let it rest itself into oblivion on my Stinky with about 3/4 an inch left.

Great cigar!!!

Jim
