RP 1990 vs. Rp 1992

Well, it was bound to happen. A few months ago I was introduce to the world of the Rocky Patel Vintage 1992 series with a churchill from Massphatness. They are really wonderful cigars and I have purchased several fivers from the evilwebsitewhosenamewewillnotmention. Having luxuriated with these beauties I decided to give the 1990 vintages a try. Back to the evilwebsitewhosenamewewillnotmention I went. My wallet is now a little lighter but I have a couple of fivers and I am not disappointed at all. Both of these smokes are just heavenly.

The 1990 is a solid, silky smooth smoke that is so satisfying. I literally have regretted nubbing these darlings.

The 1992 is also a smooth smoke with just a little more bite to it. Again, I shed a small tear when I have to put one out.

I'm hooked to these two cigars. I hope my wallet can hold out.....

I'm with ya on the 90's. Just bought my first batch of 1992s a few weeks ago (as well as some seconds of both,) and all are resting a bit before I dig in--although I'm excited to fire one up, so I may not wait too long...!

I have a 90 to try, didn't care for the 92, as you mentioned, a bit of bite.

The 90 is my favorite smoke. I like the 92 but I'll take the 90 first every time.

Both great cigars, both some of my favs, although I lean more toward the 90 than the 92.

Re: RP 1990 vs. Rp 1992

Went to the Rocky tasting in Davie, Florida last night. That was my first 92 and I loved it.

I got a 12 stick sampler which included several 90s and 92s and I bought a couple of those monster 60 ring 90 and 92... i shall do a case study!

You guys buy all the 90s and I'll take the 92s. In fact, if you need to dump some...

Re: RP 1990 vs. Rp 1992

I am a big fan of 92, but the 90 is pretty good as well. I just smoked a 92 that had been in my humi for almost two years, ans I think the age did a lot to bring the flavors together. I really enjoyed it.

That's a great deal, but I've got you beat: a few months back, I picked up a 10-pack of '90 Churchills (NOT the seconds) for $19 on the devil site.
