I thought that was only on Express Mail?

I don't remember it being on priority. I may be wrong since most of what I shipped was a pound or under.

Dirt bags

Oh well for what I was comparing last night the 5 pounds and up stuff, the post office priority was still cheaper than UPS 2nd day air .

Chas
It was definitely on priority as well. I ordered some flat rate boxes because of that. Sometimes it's cheaper to do the flat rate box for heavier stuff that goes cross country.

Still not enough to slow down the bombin Gorilla Bastages on here.

If you ask me it is still amazingly cheap! The price of fuel has doubled in the last couple years, and postage has only gone up a few percent.

Re: USPS Priority rate increase

I had a bunch of boxes to send out today. I used click & ship yesterday (prior to the rate increase) and selected today as the ship date. They charged me the old rate on all of the packages. How many people think this is going to cause me some kind of problem? I'm voting "yes, I will have a problem with at least one of these packages."

Same boat here brother.
As I was printing them out last night I said to myself,

"Self, you should do this in the morning, you know this is going to cause a problem on one or more of these."

As usual he didn't listen and kept printing away

True, but fuel is only one component of the cost. The largest share is definitely wages which have been stagnant for awhile.

Still it is a modest increase and they do a bang up job too.

Compared to UPS you can't beat the post office for price and speed IMO.
