CAO Mx2

Anyone ever had one of these? I dunno if I did something wrong, or if it was to young or what, but it tasted like one of 3 things:

1) When you put a battery on your tongue and it shocks your tongue.
2) If you where to stick your keys in your mouth, or a bunch of loose change
3) Just plain ass

anyone have any comments on these?

-Josh

I am with you on this one. I know a lot of people here love them, but I have smoked four of them over the last year, and every one of them tasted like. I will not be wasting any more money on those things.

Neve had one, but I've been wanting to try one. I've got a few other CAO's to go thru first. If I like those I might pick one up.

Re: CAO Mx2

Sorry but I've never had a bad one. I do find that the ones I've let rest for a few months in my cooler taste better than the ones right on the shelf at the B&M.

I bought a box last September and I only have about five left they have all been consistently good for me.

Re: CAO Mx2

Of the CAO line, the MX2 and the Black are the only two I will smoke. I have never come across one that was as bad as you are making it out to be. Still, It is a CAO....I bet it was marketed well though! LOL

Re: CAO Mx2

What sizes are you smoking? When these were recommended to me it was strongly advised to stay away from the Dagger. I ended up with the 6x60 gordo and mannnnn everyone has been fantastic!

Re: CAO Mx2

I have had only one of these and was very impressed. Great aroma, lots of smoke and full of smooth flavor. I plan to get another one. Hopefully it will be just as good.

I've gotten a pretty intense ammonia taste out of them towards the end - but the first 2/3 of the stick have always been good for me.

I think they're the best CAO out there. Never really had a bad one. I like the spice they carry.

It's the only CAO I can stand to smoke. I would never buy them but they are okay in my book.
