How long can i leave cigars in plastic bag?

Hi all,

I'm moving from Europe back to the states and i shipped my humidor with the movers . I dont expect to see it for at least 3 months. I put my smokes in a plastic ziplock bag with a gel humidifier enclosed with them. How long do you think i can leave them in there? I wont be back to the states for at least 2 weeks, so buying another humidor wont happen till then. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Your smokes should be fine for a few weeks, particularly if you have had them for a while. They will hold their humidity fairly well unless you leave them out in a desert somewhere or in direct sunlight. When you do get them back in a humidor you should let them settle in for a few more weeks.

Your greatest risk is probably damage in transit, particularly if you have thin (lancero, etc.) smokes. Just give them as much packing protection as you can for the journey.

since he already has shipped his cigars I think he just looking for some positive feedback from this..

If your things are going to in a air con place then it shouldnt be too big a deal. However if not then I would get my smokes ASAP..
