Cigar Draft 2k8

There is a radio show out of Tampa, FL on Saturaday Afternoons that i enjoy listening to, when i get a chance. Cigardave.com

Anyway, on yesterday's show, Dave had callers choose their favorite cigars of the year, similar to the NFL Draft.

Several intresting choices, and some cigars I'd never heard of before. Maybe some new things to try???

Romeo y Julieta Habana Reserve
Montecristo Classic
601 Black
Gurkha Legend
Rocky Patel Sungrown
La Gloria Cubana Serie R
CAO Italia
Rocky Patel Decade
Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real
Sancho Panza Dulcinea
Padron 1964 Anniversary Natural
5 Vegas Series A Maduro
Drew Estates Java by Rocky Patel
Montecristo White
Joya de Nicaragua Anatano
Ashton Classic
Arturo Fuente Flor Fina 8-5-8
Bagatelle
Drew Estate Liga Privada No. 9
El Rey Del Mundo...

Thoughts on the list?

Some great sticks on that list bro. We heard part of the show yesterday, but only about 5 minutes. As far as the RP Decade is concerned..........I can't get enough......That stick got a 95, I believe, In Cigar Aficinado last year.

i have to disagree with some of those but some are dead on and some are definite sleepers on that list. i don't think monte white should be on there for example. CAO Italia or Brazilia (even though its not on the list) are definitely sleepers on my list that deserve to be in there.

CAO Italia - a little stronger than my norm but good
Montecristo white - it was a while ago but I remember it was good
Ashton Classic - very mild and smooth, great am smoke
Arturo Fuente 858 - med body very smooth, very good

Bagatelle?
Bagatelle?

Isn't this a Thompson House Blend? Someone please tell me if this cigar is worth being considered anyone's favorite. I've never had them, but just assumed they would be awful (but you know what happens when one assumes).

Bagatelle is a wonderful example of the art of the Dominican hand roller. They start with a super delicious blend of double-aged San Vicente Olor fillers and binders. When a manufacturer is serious about the taste of his smoke, he gives the binder serious consideration. This combination of long fillers and mild-tasting binders is topped off with a magnificent Sumatra wrapper. Under different labels, Bagatelle is the exact same cigar that brings $3 to $4 in stores. You’ll likely find Bagatelle virtually indiscernible from cigars for which you’re accustomed to paying much more.
During this sale, when you buy two bundles of Bagatelles at the low offered price of $39 a bundle, you also receive a third bundle FREE. That’s seventy-five elegant Bagatelles for just $78. You just won’t believe the quality of the cigar you’re getting for around a buck apiece!
