Nice sticks and the guys at the Downtown Disney shop are very nice and not shy in helping you. As with most things there they are a bit overpriced but when you are there with the family paying an extra dollar or two is not such a bnig deal.

I have seen them at the Corona Club in Orlando as well.

I've been smoking cigars for over 30 yrs. I discovered Sosa on a trip to Orlando about 7 yrs ago and have had them on hand ever since. They are great cigars.

When I first was smoking cigars (in high school), CA rated the Sosa Pyramid (called #2 or something?) very highly. I tried a few and it was one of the first cigars I loved.
Recently I may have only smoked one or so. I think they're fairly mild.
Well made though and definitely worth a try.

Re: How well-known/respected is Sosa?

Funny to find this thread - we just got back from a week in Orlando and the wife had to see Downtown Disney. As we're walking down the street, I pick up the unmistakable aroma of CIGARS!

I look around and there's the Sosa Cigar shop. "You go shop dear, I'll catch up!"

Well, their prices were geared more toward unsuspecting tourists, and I had an Otterbox full of smokes with me for the week, but I decided to try one of the Sosas anyway. The sweet young lady steered me toward one she described as medium bodied in the Robusto size range.

The construction was good and it burned well, but the cigar was really pretty nondescript. Smoking it reminded me of the boutique brands of the '90s, when you could smoke a new brand every day and yet couldn't remember any of them a month later.

Considering the prices were in the $8-$10 range, I wouldn't exactly rush back and buy more. I wouldn't exactly rush back to see Downtown Disney again either.

Orlando, on the other hand, was a blast!

I always enjoy Florida.

I had one last week and it was ****ing GREAT! I don't usually go in for mild cigars, and for me Fuente is hit-or-miss, but i'll definitely be picking up a few more Sosa's next time I hit the B&M. A little pricey for me though, maybe i'll get lucky and find them on Joe someday?

Whenever I am in the Orlando area and make it to Downtown Disney, Sosa is a must after a dinner at Wolf Gang's or Gloria Estefan's place.

Re: How well-known/respected is Sosa?

Sosa Wavell was the #21 cigar in Cigar Aficianado 2007 top 25. Not that I give those ratings a ton of weight. They get decent reviews on top25cigar not top by any strech but decent.
