An Experiment with water additives (Coffee and Tea)
So, I received a surprise box of CAO Bella Vanilla Cigars (Petit Corona) in the mail, even after I received my ordered box (I know, I know, they were for a... friend...), from Cheap Humidors. After checking what I should do with them and being told to keep them, I decided to have some fun. After gifting many, I took 4 gars and began experimenting. I wanted to see how I could change the flavour around and since I had a free box around I went for it and:
Filled a small Ziploc bag with Irish Cream coffee beans+ 1 gar Filled a small Ziploc Bag with some Second Cup San Agustin beans+ 1 gar Wrapped one gar with 4 bags of some Orange Pekoe tea and tossed it in a bag Wrapped one gar with 3 bags of Twinning's Earl Grey tea and tossed it in a bag I'm going to wait for 1 month and see how these turn out, and will obviously come back and update . Predictions are that the Irish Cream will be the strongest new flavour, followed by the other coffee, with the teas tied. I am really interested in the coffees as I always wanted to experience coffee flavoured smoke.Has anyone ever done tea infusions before? I imagine the delicate nature of tea won't allow for much. Cheers, and see you in 4 weeks! not that I won't lurk around between then of course! ![]() |

Nope, I know that much, and frankly I should be called the noob. But flavouring flavoured cigars? An entirely new level of zany! That has to count for something!

Re: An Experiment with water additives (Coffee and Tea)
There was a thread a while back about somebody doing something similar with whisky. I've lost track of the thread but if you find it it may give you some more ideas

Re: An Experiment with water additives (Coffee and Tea)
Yep, pure liquid injection, but I was mainly trying to see how flavoured cigars would react to attempts of change. CAO might not be the best for my methods, mainly because I found that the tobacco itsaelf is flavoured. I'll probably only get a bit of wrapper flavouring in.
