I wouldn't quite say I've gone down the slope. I do have three full humis containing somewhere in the vicinity of 600 smokes, but, I tend to buy a lot of what I like, since many times what I like is hard to come by. I have 5 or 6 'go to' smokes that I have in large numbers and a handful of singles to try. I don't buy anything unless I have room for it.

I don't smoke a lot. I've had 5 this week, but 3 of those were during a poker game. I normally only have one or two a week. For me I guess it's more like a staircase instead of a slope. I've only descended a few steps, where I chose to sit down and enjoy the view.

I'm a collector. Years ago it was sports stuff, then moved to fishing gear, then fly fishing reels, then paintball guns, then golf clubs, then Scotty Cameron putters, etc... Cigars are different. I've been smoking cigars steadily for about 4 years and occassionally for about 5 years before that. I still love them as much as ever and hope the adoration never goes away.
