I just got an e-mail from JR Cigars that just says "world premiere...tune in 6/2."
Anyone know what this is about?

I'm guessing they are raising their shipping costs from $2.50 to $10.00 each for the 1st 5 items you order. JR's shipping costs sucks!!

It just seems like it must be something big, what with the mysterious nature of it all.
Of course, what could be "big" for a Cigar website? Are they going to be the exclusive dealer for Gurkha? Well, that's not exactly a "World Premiere" is it?
They made a deal with Obama to lift the emargo and JR will be the sole importer of Cubans?
Just kidding of course...but I'm trying to think big.

I'm mystified....but like boonedoggle said...it must be working because my curiosity is definitely piqued.

They had a daily deal a little while ago, the "Daily Double", and then gave it up rather quickly.
That horse lost the race to Joe--big time.

JRs has really gone downhill lately imho. They have had a few good weekly specials in the past year (the Camacho Negro was the best) but they used to have better deals and more of them before Altadis ate them.

Agreed. I find myself ordering more and more from CI or Famous and have nearly abandoned JR.
The only thing I've ordered from JR lately are their alternates.

Every time I go into a JRCigars I am disappointed. I think I've found something extraordinarily only to find out that I paid way too much for the cigar. If it turns out to be a great deal I'll be surprised.
