RP Edge Box Press with NO band?

My buddy has been getting these RP Box press maduros fom a local guy, with NO bands?

I told him to be weary that they may be knockoffs, or seconds. He has asked the guy working the counter and always gets a vague answer, that ends with its an Edge. When he asks wheres the band on the foot? He gets, doesnt come with one.

Is there such a thing as a RP Edge BP maduro with NO band? He asked at another local shop down the street, and the guy was amazed stating those are GREAT cigars!

The regular Edge didn't even come with a band when the first came out. Box pressed would be the Edge Squared, and I wouldn't be at all suprised if it didn't come with a band.

Yeah just a few years back rp started placing bands on the foot... so mostly likely he probably got an old edge like scim said the older ones didnt come with a band.. my local still has a bunch of the old ones and they are naked...

I would venture to say that there isnt a huge market for knockoff Edges, so you can probably rule that possibility out.

They are known as the edge square. They were released in a very limited production run. I have a few corojo robustos resting. I was hoping to find some maduros as well. Actually adds a whole new dimension to the edge. Worth trying!
