Discuss.

Seriously, this is a little powerhouse that represents a great 30 to 60 minute experience depending upon how fast you hit it. Perfect burn, perfect flavor, yada yada yada. MSRP is a fair price, but when you score a bunch with a 25% off taboo coupon I almost feel dirty. I've tried to get on the CC bandwagon but the 1926 is tempting me to keep off that slope.

Can anyone explain the tiny white dots on the ash? Does it have something to do with the excessive, delicious oils on the maduro wrapper?

Alright, enough gushing. All I'll say is if you have the means, definitely acquire some #35s.

I am extremely biased here and this is clearly a matter of opinion BUT, you might find a thread where I swear this is the best cigar, period, regardless of price.
A true little gem.

As far as the dots, I find all their Maduros do that or at least most I can recall.

I think someone once said the white portions of the ash are due to the high concentration of lithium in the volcanic soil in Cuba; I'm thinking that might apply to the DR as well.

The 1926 #35 is a delectable treat. It's definitely top 10, although I personally have some rated higher both in that size range and larger.

Honestly, while the 1926 #35 is an excellent cigar, in the NC arena, I'm going to have to cast my vote with the Padron 1964 Superior. Buying by the box, these run about $9 a stick, and are the most consistently enjoyable cigar I've smoked. Always well constructed and tasty. Go buy some today, I'll be popping one out of the humi tonight.

I just picked up some 1964 Imperial Maduro from Addiction. Am I in for a similar experience to the #35 (after a little rest)?

I think all the Annis are a great experience but as you will find, since tastes vary, folks will have different opinions.
My 72 year old dad, who has smoked some of the best Cubans produced, will trade any current Cuban for a Padron Anni, any time.
Frankly, dad has always proven to me to be right.

The Imperial is a '64. It is not aged as much as the '26 35. Hence, the less aging, seems less strength. However, still a good punch and still all worth a try.
I have made sure I have smoked every single cigar they make on the Anni line ('64, '26, 40th and 80th). All worth it. I prefer the Maduros but love the Naturals also.

Just a week or so ago, picked up a box of El Principes, Maduro, while down at Miami, directly from Padron.

Blueface, you seem to be well versed on all Padron Anni. Are the 40th and 80th cigars worth the premium over the regular Anni's? I can't imagine they are better because I'm not sure it's possible.

I'm really worried that they are even better and I'll go broke acquiring them.

I think they are worth trying.
I do one with dad and son once or twice a year, for holidays.
The 80th is superb but frankly, for less money, the 40th is as good unless your pallate is that discriminating.
Are they worth the money? If you can spring it and it is not an issue for you, then yeah, they are well worth it.
If you are on a tight budget? May not taste as great when you realize you could have paid bills with the money or you might appreciate them more.
Cigars are a matter of taste.
Glad not everyone smokes Annis as otherwise, price would go up.

64s are better all the way around, IMO

I am weeping on my keyboard...not sure if it's the pain in the fingers and lips from nubbing to a half inch or mourning because the experience is over.

Should I have another? Nahhh...that's just too decadent!

Right on the money. The 40th and 80th I believe are either the same except for the vitola, or they are so similar as to be indistinguishable.

Damn yummy sticks.

I like the 64's in natural, but the 26's are meant to be maduro, IMHO.

Good.
Making a mental note in case I ever needed to do a retaliatory event.
