Re: viva las vegas!!!

What's the policy regarding smoking cigars in Las Vegas casinos. Is there a list of 'no hastle' policy casino's? Lite up in Reno casino and decided to snub the cigar before the patrons snubbed me, also winning and did not want to be shown the door. Not that drastic just picked up some vibs, and comments from couple patrons shortly after lighting up.

Re: viva las vegas!!!

The current policy regarding smoking in Las Vegas Casinos is go right ahead, and if someone complains, and you are not in a no smoking section, they can get up and move...in other words...the Casino floors are the last public smoking places in the city of Las Vegas for the visitors. Believe it or not, the smoking ban here has a lot of loopholes involving when and where you may smoke. Think of it this way...no food being served...go ahead and smoke...if you have to be 21 to get in...go ahead and smoke. A lot of places off Strip and around the city are actually transitioning away from being family establishments due to the loss of income a lot of bars and restaurants are facing from not allowing smoking...

CASINOS ARE SMOKE FRIENDLY...as long as you are not in a no-smoking area..

Now when you say "in the casinos" does that include the sports book in the casinos? I was really looking forward to lighting up a couple while watching the stock car race. The last time that I was in town I had no hassles on the casino floor or in the book.

Re: viva las vegas!!!

The sport book is a tobacco friendly area...however, some do have no smoking areas in them...I do know that the better books (Caesar's, The Venetian, MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay...) all allow smoking....other places in the casino may have the Nascar races on, but baseball, NBA Finals, horse-racing will be dominating a lot of the screens. You may want to find a book with a lot of screens...or, 40/40, Jay-Z's Non-club club (its an Ultra-Sports Lounge at the Palazzo) will have a higher likelihood to be showing it because of the fact that they have private TVs EVERYWHERE...

Re: viva las vegas!!!

Casa Fuente is awesome on a few levels, and you will know what I mean when you get there. The drinks, especially the mojitos are also noteworthy. I smoked my first Opus there, a corona I believe it was a #4 and loved it..... I'm sure it was largely due to a few factors, but it has made me look for some, which is impossible. Have fun, great town.

Re: viva las vegas!!!

Thank you everyone for your help. My friend and I just left Casa Fuente. Place was amazing! I wanted to stay and have a drink and a smoke, but we weren't exactly treated well. I don't know if its cus of how we were dressed (we had just come from the pool) or be cause we look/are young, but what every the reason the "nice" man there decided to check our ids after the beautiful lady did. Then followed us like a hawk. So we figured we should just make our purchase and leave. While making my purchase (bought 2 opus, #4 and # he checked my id again cus I payed with a card, and asked me "who's card is this?" I'm like really? I guess he didn't read the name right or something.

Anyway, the place was amazing, but my experience sadly was not. Its tough being a chimp in a gorillas world I guess.

Re: viva las vegas!!!

Do not take your treatment there as an insult...unfortunately, in this city, credit card theft is a major issue, so if they ask small questions pertaining to your identity..let it be...they have to....on top of that...if you do look young, they are going to be tougher because of the large number of possible state auditors on the lose in this city...

Anyway....look us in the LV crew up...wee are more than willing to join in on a smoke...

Re: viva las vegas!!!

Just got back this am. We had to take the walk down to the Casa Fuente boutique and check it out. It was 104 there so we hung around in the AC for awhile. Bought my first short story to smoke and it was very nice. Also picked up a Casa for the humi.

Re: viva las vegas!!!

I can't wait for August to get here for my Vegas trip. My wife recently bought tickets to see George Carlin while were out there. It's going to be a great vacation Carlin, nascar at the book, cigars, gambling, and booze.
