August will be warm.

Wow, you buy tickets and we lose him. There were so many times when I thought about buying tickets to see him, guess now I know that if I want to see a show or a person, to do it.

I actually just found out that I'm heading to Vegas this weekend and I'm staying at the MGM!! BTW, do any of you take torches on the plane or is it not worth the trouble? I can't remember what the rules are anymore.

Flammable Items Carry-on Checked Aerosol (any except for personal care or toiletries in limited quantities) No No Fuels (including cooking fuels and any flammable liquid fuel) No No Gasoline No No Gas Torches No No Lighter Fluid No No Common Lighters - Lighters without fuel are permitted in checked baggage. Lighters with fuel are prohibited in checked baggage, unless they adhere to the Department of Transportation (DOT) exemption, which allows up to two fueled lighters if properly enclosed in a DOT approved case. If you are uncertain as to whether your lighter is prohibited, please leave it at home. Yes No Torch Lighters - Torch lighters create a thin, needle-like flame that is hotter (reaching 2,500 degrees Fahrenheit) and more intense than those from common lighters. Torch lighters are often used for pipes and cigars, and maintain a consistent stream of air-propelled fire regardless of the angle at which it is held. Torch lighters continue to be banned. No No

Just beware...regardless of where you go to buy Opus X or the even better Padron Anniversarios on the Strip, you will be shelling out a large amount of money. Especially when there are much better cigars than the Opus X too be had for a portion of the price...go with those, you will end up a lot happier...

Re: viva las vegas!!!

Thanks for the advice guys -- I need to heed it, because I'm a sucker and I know when I see those X's I'll not be thinking about the $. The Davidoff store in the MGM sounds nice. I'll probably have to go to Casa Fuente just because I never have before.

I haven't been to Vegas since 2002, where I got married at the Paris Chapel. We had 90 people total down there with us, and threw a real nice party at the House of Blues @ Mandalay Bay afterwards. I think the marriage lasted just slightly longer than my hangover, but our intentions were good at the time!

This time, I'm truly flattered to get invited by a couple of dear friends, and I'm really looking forward to a good time! I'll be thinking about you brothers when I fire up whatever it is that I choose.

Re: viva las vegas!!!

If you need help finding any particular NC stick...aside from things like the Tatuaje Black or the Padron Milleniums...feel free to ask...most likely it can be had real easily....I know a lot of shops here in town...OFF STRIP...and know you can ALWAYS do better price wise on non-store exclusives....Let me know, I am a willing tour guide..

Re: viva las vegas!!!

I may be out that way in that week of August. I go every month for work, The Hilton is very cigar friendly btw, and I think it's the best book in town.

Also, on a side note. I keep forgetting to take my bic lighter out of my laptop bag, and i've made it through about 6 times so far. I bet if I forget my torch in there, they'll take it.

Re: viva las vegas!!!

Just a shout-out to the Vegas folks. I'll be here till Thursday morning. I'm getting ready to head over to Don Pablo now. Hit Casa Fuente late last night after I got here. I'm supposed to eat with our vendor tomorrow, but will probably be free after 8. Any suggestions on places to hit besides these 2?

Joe

Re: viva las vegas!!!

Thanks Andrew. It's really something to be able to hang out with people you'd never otherwise cross paths with, just because of a love for cigars. It was great to get to meet you and Sam. My thanks to both of you for making time to hang out, and also for the cigar.

CS and its members are the best!
