The Experiment
I have several sticks that have torn, cracked or otherwise damaged cigars that I am not willing to just throw away are to far gone to salvage with the pectin method.
Living in Da Bronx (which some people call little Dominicana) there are many torceadors living and working in Chinchillas close by. I was hanging out in one last week and the owner took me in the back to show off his new arrival, bales of Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper and Ecuadorian sun grown Sumatra wrapper. Of the damaged cigars most are Pepins and one Angel Oliva OTC. The plan is to have the torceador cover the damaged wrapper with another. I am curious to see how they fare.
