El Credito Super Habaneros - Thoughts?

Mike's Cigars has these on special for only $14.95/bundle of 25.
I know they're supposedly 2nds of La Gloria Habana &/or La Flor Dominicana, and that these longer ones (7.5 x 48 ring) are supposedly mixed filler. But has anyone tried them? Thoughts?
I'm tempted to buy a bundle, as even if they're Feh, I'm only out $17.50, but what does anyone have to say on these? Sound off!

I bought a bundle somewhere around 8-10 years ago and thought they weren't bad. I didn't freeze them and they were heavily infested with beetles.

I had a bundle of El Credito two years ago and was not very impressed. Here's what I wrote on my blog in June 2006:

They have a medium-to-loose draw and the distinctive flavor of strong, black coffee. Not a bad cigar by any means, but probably not one I'll seek out again. There are better bargains to be had.

These need age for a year to get the full El Credito taste. The problem is that the construction is mediocre and gets worse with age. These also have a tendency to leave loose tobacco in your mouth when you smoke them.

This is one of those things that everybody tries at least once. My experience was a draw so tight that I got a hernia trying to puff. There's good and there's cheap and we look for good and cheap together. This isn't it.

Like mentioned above, I've had my share of tight draws and crappy wrappers. The taste is alright, so I find them a good smoke to have around for non serious smokers, or for myself when I want a quick smoke and don't mind tossing half.

The super habenaros are a mixed filler blend.That size does not exist in any of la gloria's regular lines. I bought a bundle of these once and still have a few left.The flavor is not bad,but you can implode your head trying to get a draw from these babys. I have had better luck with some of the other el credito sizes. The wavell can be had for about sixty bucks for a box of twenty-five. Famous smoke carries some of the other el credito sizes.
