Re: DC #'s.....Why?
I use DCs because CS taught me it was a good thing. ANd I've found to to be a very good thing so now based on one "are you sure I got it" exchange. So now everything I ship gets a DC, cigars or not. And really what else where you going to do with the $.65 anyway?

Re: DC #'s.....Why?
I still think I'll do the pass eventually, especially as I have some even better stuff to stick in the box. I just have to figure out the whens and wheres of it. And it will definitely be invitation only because the last pass I was in went tits up with 50+ cigars the cheapest of which was prolly $12. But I'm waiting until I fill my humidor before I make a pass, so it will be October at best since the wife has pulled the spending limit way back.

5 Cohiba EL DCs 5 Cohiba Sublimes 5 2000 Festivals (I actually never got these) 5 Edmundo Dantes Original Release 1 Chateau Latour 1 Davi DP 5 Padron 80ths 10 50s White Owl Invincibles (one for each person). I forget what the other three was going to be, but thats pretty much the core of the line up. I was hoping to put together some truly remarkable stuff, trade off some very good things and then get back some very good different things. But when I thought about what that bunch of sticks cost me I felt faint at heart about sending it out. However I'm going to do this sooner rather than later, hopefully with an even BETTER lineup.

Re: DC #'s.....Why?
Yeah but I but I'm stuck in the middle if you will. There are certainly people that I know can do a pass of the magnitude I wanted to do, but I'm far below where you guys play. And among the other people that I know and trust our trades have been much more pedestrian so they didn't feel comfortable where I wanted to play.
I'm hoping after I finish this long slow climb back to a full humi I'll end up with enough back stock that I can do the pass and be truly OK with how it breaks down, no matter what those results are.

Re: DC #'s.....Why?
Actually I never felt quite comfortable including the 80ths. I love them myself and thin they are well worth it but I don't think they are universally valued at their price point. Same deal with the clear havanas, but I know a lot of folks had not had a chance to try them and in my tastes these were the best of the bunch.
Also not having secured the festivals I have no idea what I could have put in that cigars place, because nothing else would have been valued in that way. I have 2 Cohiba Millennium, but I was pretty sure I wanted to hang on to those. I may (or may not) secure some PL Magnificos, but again I couldn't get them in that time frame. The next closest choice would have been NC Davi Diademas Finas or Cohiba Pirmandes ELs.

Re: DC #'s.....Why?
This is my thought... even if it costs $0.65 for a DC... aren't we trying & pitching crappy $1 or $2 sticks? $0.65 is cheaper than some candy.
As everyone else has mentioned... I do it to show I did it. Call it my $0.65 guarantee!

Re: DC #'s.....Why?
Well last week I bought 7 Montecristo D LE's to replace the 80ths, however I've since smoked the DP and the Latour (I only had one of each). I don't know that those were really good includes anyway because how many people have something that they can actually trade for that?
I'm considering a box of 97 898vs and if I get that I may go with those. Its still a good pass I suppose but with the Davis I think we could have generated a pass for the ages.
