The fire pit/bowl I have has a "screen" lid that sits on top. Shouldn't be a problem under a patio cover - unless it's made of tissue paper.

With the sudden change in weather it looks as if the remainder of my outdoor smokin' will be in the trusty HotTub!
I know others that don't like doin' it in the tub, but I find it quite nice as long as the snow isn't coming down too hard................

Now that would be a nice way to enjoy a cigar.. I may need to get an outdoor hot tub just for that reason..

Just got done looking at some $100 to $200 for inexpensive ones that look like they will not last very long....

Going to fire up the torch and welder and make one. Gotta go find a drum & some bricks!

Re: Post Turkey Stogie... Holiday Picks!

Well, I'll be at work as usual but I'm going to bring one of the Padron Annis with me and find a nice quiet place and time out here to smoke it. One of my sons is in town and is bringing me out some food tomorrow night. I hope his mom finally learned how to cook.

I have a PSD2 that I've been eyeing. I think tomorrow will be the day.

Re: Post Turkey Stogie... Holiday Picks!

Temps tomorrow in the low 20s. I'll be busy as hell too, so I think I'll just sneak in a couple Ashton Cigarillos. Although I do have a bottle of 12 year old Dalmore, and a 6er of Bells Porter.... I'll be fine!

I'll have a Camacho Diploma on Saturday, when I can take my time and enjoy.

God, I love the holidays!!!!

Frank,

I just built one for my brother this past fall. I used a section of 36" stainless pipe about 12" long. You could either put a bottom in it or just put it in the ground. We put my brothers in the ground and then built a little brick patio around it. I plan on pouring a new patio this spring or summer and I'll have one put in it.
