Started with a post-lunch CAO Brazilia Gol! while playing catch with the neighborhood kids. After dinner it's a toss-up now.

Re: Day to Give Thanks - What are you lighting up?

Today in NC My Father, Brother, and I lit up 3 nice San Cristobal La Fuerzas! They went excellent with the massive thanksgiving dinner we had. NC is nice, it's a little colder than Florida though.............go figure!

Re: Day to Give Thanks - What are you lighting up?

My day was a nice one. After making my appearance at work (I drew the short straw to be the Adult supervision) I had a nice traditional dinner topped off by about 3 quarters (plus overtime) of a close football game spent with my toy fox terrier on my lap as I enjoyed a Pategas Black Label. After while it'll be time for dessert. Life is good.

Re: Day to Give Thanks - What are you lighting up?

My third and last for the day, a total surprise.
After thinking I would do a Trini Robusto Extra, ended up with the Trini Fundador.
Dad, son and me did one each.
Great to say the least and a fantastic way to end a wonderful day.

Lots of Bacardi Limon with Cranberry and lime.
Followed by lots of great Argentinian Malbec wine, followed by some great smokes.
Now getting ready to tackle some 20 Yr tawny port from Sandelman and truly give thanks for how fortunate I am.

Hope all had a similar great time.
Remember, we make of it what we make of it.

Re: Day to Give Thanks - What are you lighting up?

I was going to smoke the Ashton that was gifted to me by Germantown Rob, but I'm soooo tired, after only getting 5ish hours of sleep last night, that if I went outside to smoke it right now, I wouldn't enjoy it, and that would be a waste of a beautiful stick... so I'll let it rest in the humi... I'll hopefully be picking up my new humi tomorrow, assuming m post office follows the normal hours.... I can't wait to try that ashton, as I've never had one, and have heard many good things.. Thanks Rob!

wait.. how does that make me a post whore? (pot, meet kettle )
No power = no good.. I told you not to dig in the back yard without calling the power company first! And just think of all the extra age your sticks are getting... they'll taste much better in the long run...

Well that sucks...sorry your day was not a good one.

I actually got to smoke 2 cigars today, when I thought I would get to smoke none, so that was a nice surprise. Smoked a nice Mac Gold (thanks levell3)early in the afternoon before dinner, then smoked a Partagas Black Label after dinner. I had been holding that Partagas for a while, as someone told me it would knock me on my butt if I didn't smoke it after a big meal. So, I figured what bigger meal am I going to eat this year? I sat outside and smoked that and drank some hot chocolate...nice

Re: Day to Give Thanks - What are you lighting up?

It was a good cigar day yesterday. After I made two types of stuffing and was waiting for my wife to free up the oven, I had a '64 PAM. After lunch I had a Partagas Black. After a large dinner with the kids over, I brewed some Sulawesi Toraja which the boy & I enjoyed with cigars. I had an Opus X and he had a RP 2nd. I'm thankful that life is good!

Triple Ligero, a darn good stick with a Sierra Nevada Stout. Loved it. Anyone else had these?

Re: Day to Give Thanks - What are you lighting up?

I feel so low and so cheap.
Actually ended the day by squeezing a third stick.

What a great day.
Padron Anni Monarca Maduro before lunch.
Cuaba Salomon mid afternoon.
Trinidad Fundador (12/03) as a night cap with some 20 yr tawny port.

LIFE IS GOOD!

Re: Day to Give Thanks - What are you lighting up?

It was a really nice Thanksgiving yesterday. Started the day off with a HDM Hoyo Du Prince. After the feast it was the Padron '26 #9 and capped it off last night with an amazing Montecristo #2. What a great day...
