Anybody tried the Carlos Torano Virtuoso?

I tried a Carlos Torano Virtuoso tonight and really liked it. It was gifted to me by my nephew. The wrapper was dark and oily and was more full bodied than I expected. A good looking and flavorful smoke. Anybody tried them?

Got a recommendation for where to buy?

A darn good smoke. Beautiful to look at, almost a shame to set fire to it.

I love all Torano's however, I have had a few Virtuoso's and so far I have mixed reviews. The first couple were not that good, thinking they need a little more time to mature, I tried a couple more a couple weeks later and those two were much better.

BTW, I was just a Nick's over the weekend.

oh man, I can't wait to try one! We're waiting for our local shop to get some or for Phil from esmokesmack to get some in so we can try them. Been waiting for the release now have to wait for the delivery. Might have to break down and order a couple from Nick's.

Had one at the Miami Herf...they had samples there from a couple of reps and had a box of these...I smoked one then managed to snag another for "later" and thought they were one of the best Toraños I've ever had...they're brand new, having been introduced at the last RTDA show from what I understand...

I felt the same thing.
There was 'something' missing.
I think time will cure it.
Good smoke nonetheless.

I bought two and I really liked them, had a chocolatey taste to them. I immediately bought three more and am keeping them in the humidor for 6 months or so to see if they get even better.

Feels like a home away from home! Spent several hours in the main shop and I always stop into the other smaller ones too. Hell, even the small shop at Martin's has a terrific selection!

Re: Anybody tried the Carlos Torano Virtuoso?

I also have heard good things about this smoke. I picked up a couple from Barlow's last week and Bob & I are going to smoke it and review it on an upcoming show.

I had a Torano Exodus at the advice of a couple of BOTL with a german beer (Jubel) a week or so back. It was very nice indeed, as was the beer. I will endevor to try the Virtuoso.
