Welcome to the Jungle! Great review! Makes me want to try one.. I'm adding it to my "to try" list, along with the Padron Fumas... I've got one of those Rocky Patel 1990's sitting in my humi too, can't wait for a good occasion to try it... (maybe our victory tomorrow against UGA?)

The Anni 64s are awesome sticks.

I wasn't a fan of the Padro 3000 I smoked a few weekends ago.

I've got the RP 1990 on my short list as well. I've got too many sticks in my
humidor to warrant more purchases right now...especially since my RyJ and
Maria Guerero samplers arrived in the mail last week.

I'm probably smoking an Ashton Cabinet before the game tomorrow and will
be carrying a RyJ Limitada Edicion 2000 as a celebratory smoke after the win.

I am waiting for a special occasion to smoke the Padron 64 Principe that CigDaddy gifted me (thanks Chris)!
As far as the 3000 goes though, the first of the 2 I bought a month I didn't care for. The second that had a month in the humi was AWESOME!!
Everyone has different tastes, but don't write it off after just one.

One would be the Opus X, which my local shop does carry, but at 18 bucks per stick, it would have to be a pretty special occasion. So I picked up another ashton vsg robusty, and a rocky patel vintage 1990 torpedo for this evening.

But because my birthday was tuesday, I decided to also treat myself to a Padron anniv 64. Not sure which size, about the size of a robusto.

So Im sitting outside on my deck, in NJ, in 40 degree weather, with my laptop, and a Brooklyn Brewery chocolate stout, and I just fired up this Padron.

After reading around for a bit, I now know the names of what I taste. A bit peppery, but not a tobaco flavor at all. Very smooth. I am only about 1/5 of the way into it. The ash is a great gray/white shade, and it is burning very evenly. I must say, it is definately a good cigar....although it wish it wasnt so damn cold out.

At $13.50 it certainly isnt an everyday cigar, but for a nice change, I can see spending the extra green.

Hopefully tonight the Rocky Patel will treat me just as well. I know the Ashton will.
Yup I agree those are spicey smokes good too. The Brookly Black chocolate Stouts are pretty darn good too and as I recall have a fair amount of alcohol.
