Holy Cheap Smokes Batman!

Browsing the new CI catalogue last week, I came across this deal. 50 Long filler handmades with an indonesian wrapper for $20? Sure, they're flavored, but for $.40 a stick, how bad could they be? I bought a bundle to find out.

Not to shabby, actually. These seem to have a few years of age on them, wrapped in yellowed cello. The construction is good and the wrapper is much nicer than any $.40 cigar should have. The flavor is pretty decent. The vanilla is there, but not overpowering. It still tastes like a cigar should. It actually would go great with morning coffee or as an after dinner smoke.
What else could you smoke for this price? A phillie blunt or a swisher? This makes a great hot weather or yard gar that you don't feel bad about pitching early if you have to.

Will be great for moochers and those that don't actually smoke cigar.

Also..... for me anyways.... flavored cigars get their own humidor.

If you like flavored's then go for it. If not, then try a Cremosa. They are the same price I believe.

Well for starters, you could smoke these. http://ns3.webmasters.com/*thecigarf...BLEND+Number+7

Robusto's are still in stock. There is not a better 50 cent cigar out there. These actually have some taste. There are several reviews posted on this stick. The are amazing for the price. Better than many $2-3 cigars.

Yep, throw them in a dry box until they harden up and they're damn good cigars

I actually got a 10 pack of these free with my last order from CI. Haven't tried them. I don't have a preference for flavoreds one way or another. Most are junk, but I will admit to smoking the occasional tatiana flavored for a cheap smoke. I'll let you know what I think... maybe I'll sacrifice one tonight. How were they right off the truck?

Thats a lot of cigars for the money, but Id rather put the money towards one or two good cigars. For me its quality, not quantity. Some people may enjoy them though, who knows.

Not bad, actually. I think these may be older stock that have aged for a while. The labels and bands just scream cigar boom leftover, and the cello is slightly yellowed. It was actually pretty good. The smoke smelled great, and didn't taste half bad either. It was smooth right to the nub, and never got hot or harsh.

None of these are terms I want to mentally associate with cigars I buy.

If they truly suck, the troops are not the place to dump them. Comment #2, we pride ourselves on being non cigar snobs, If the original poster says that they are ok, it is wrong to condemn them until we try them. Are we so hung up on our favorite brands and our favorite price points that we will dismiss a poster's cigar suggestion and review out of hand? I used to smoke quorums and Thompson cigars. Lets remember where we started from and not dump on the choice until we try it. Someone mentioned a CFO cigar for $.50 and said that it is great. The OP had a vanilla cigar for the same price. Lets remember, smoke what you like and like what you smoke. Lets think about it folks, we seem to be getting very judgemental about what someone smokes. If a nooby, we can help them by advice and the sampler trade, if more experienced smokers, their taste will chance in time or not. Lets be more tolerant toward what other people smoke. If I am out of line, let me know.
