I realize this thread is on Anejos, but CA ran this article on Opus Cigars and the lack of supply due to the floods in DR.

""Last year, we had the flood in the Dominican so most of the farm was underwater," said Wayne Suarez, an executive at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. "There was 60 percent less planted than usual. Even though the 2007 crop will not be used for many years, Carlito [Carlos Fuente Jr.] has cut back on the shipments because he does not want to deplete current inventory levels, but maintain a certain amount of Opus stock.""

this last release and over christmas time was probably one of the largest in a while. sharks were from 2 years ago though and were not from the same batch all the other anejos were from. they were still prone to mold. honestly i love my 48's but with the mold problems they have been having i'll stick to opus and tatuaje's and be done with it.
