Re: Anejos -- What's with the gouging?
I realize this thread is on Anejos, but CA ran this article on Opus Cigars and the lack of supply due to the floods in DR.
http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar...4,2400,00.html From the article: ""Last year, we had the flood in the Dominican so most of the farm was underwater," said Wayne Suarez, an executive at Tabacalera A. Fuente y Cia. "There was 60 percent less planted than usual. Even though the 2007 crop will not be used for many years, Carlito [Carlos Fuente Jr.] has cut back on the shipments because he does not want to deplete current inventory levels, but maintain a certain amount of Opus stock."" -EB |

Re: Anejos -- What's with the gouging?
this last release and over christmas time was probably one of the largest in a while. sharks were from 2 years ago though and were not from the same batch all the other anejos were from. they were still prone to mold. honestly i love my 48's but with the mold problems they have been having i'll stick to opus and tatuaje's and be done with it.
