Cigar Books

I was cleaning off a book case in my den yesterday when I came across my old copy of The Cigar Companion by Bati and Chase. This was the 2nd edition, published in 1995 and was given to me as a gift by my father. It's a great book, though very outdated at this point (no mentions of Rocky Patel or CAO, or much on Gispert and other popular brands).

Does anyone out there have a recommendation on other good cigar books? I'd like to get one, and probably give a couple as gifts to friends new to the leaf.

Thanks.

Re: Cigar Books

If you can get the MRN Encyclopedia get it. This will be the only book you will ever need for your Habano reference.

Foe Non Cuban Reference. I use Cigar Afficianados web-site it is great. There is also Pearlmans Pocket Encyclopedia .

Sometimes those old books are great reads. Hold onto that classic.
