Indin Tabac Cameroon Legend

Some time ago I bought a couple of large Cameroon Legends (maybe RG 60 or the like - fat) and thought they were well constructed, drew fine and tasted pretty much... good for a not-maduro. I wouldn't have bought a box, but they were OK. Then last week a friend gives me a polybag with 30 coronas (smaller ring) as a courtesy for a favor I'd done. I thought and said, "Wow. This is really uncalled for. Way too nice." And I took 'em, of course.

The first one I pulled out was practically hollow; it burned too fast, uneven and hot to finish. It tasted awful. A week later I dared to smoke another - it was just fine. A fewin the bag feel pretty lame - the rest feel OK. Is this just the story of Indian Tabac Cameroon Legends or did this guy sort out some oddballs and drop them on me?

I'm not complaining; but inquiring minds want to know.

Re: Indin Tabac Cameroon Legend

I smoked one of these cigars a while back that was a toro sized cigar and it drew horribly, I mean it was the worst draw I ever had, like an egg through a straw. I haven't bothered to pick one up since. I know all manufactures have some cigars that go out and aren't that perfect but this was ridiculous. Apparently I wasn't the only one that had a bad cigar.

I've never had the smaller ones, but I think the Gorilla is a good smoke, never had a problem with any of the ones I've had

Re: Indin Tabac Cameroon Legend

I have about 10 Cameroon legends 5 nat's and 5 maduros. I think that they are a good yard gar but not much else. I wish I would not have got them.

The plugging problems I've had with Indian Tabac's are the Super Fuerte Maduro Belicoso's. I have about 8 of these in the humi and everyone I've picked up to smoke has some draw problem for the first half of the stick. After that, they are fine. I just don't like working that hard for the taste of that particular cigar. The Toro's seem to be just fine. It's just the Belicoso's that are the problem with me.

Re: Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend

The cameroon legend coronas are bundled and I think only CI/Cbid sells em.

I REALLY like cameroon legend natural and don't care for the maduros at all. I have had all of the "ape" named ones and love the flavor. I have had a few (1 or less a box out of 5 boxes now) of them have a draw that was too tight; that is acceptable to me. Thanks to cigarbid you can frequently get them by the box for under $40. You will see the bundled coronas on cigarbid selling in the $25 range, I recommend spending the extra for the boxed ones. (Chimp, Baboon, or Gorilla).

Re: Indin Tabac Cameroon Legend

I really like most of Rocky's stuff but I wasn't in love with the cameroon legends and it did burn hot for me if memory serves me correctly. That said I really think the rest of his stuff is a remarkable value especially the IT SF.

I have had alot of Fires. Some times they burn hot and uneven but for the $$ they sure are tasty and should cost more that they do. I do smoke alot of the petite coronas which are the little guys the bigger ones robustos and such don't burn as hot I have found. YMMV. Speaking of good deals
