AF God of Fire 2005 are they worth it?
I see some Arturo Fuente God of Fire 2005 Don Carlos Robusto for sale right now (around $20 a stick). My question for those of you who have some experience with them is are they worth it? Should I go after them? I don't have a problem paying that much. I usually will buy a five pack of something new and try them over a period of time before I make up my mind but I don't think these will be around long enough for me to follow my usual pattern. So I need some advice.

Re: AF God of Fire 2005 are they worth it?
I've bought a few of the Carlito churchills and the rubustos...Nice smooth stick with a definite peppery tone...but man that's a lot of moola for 1 stick. I would bye two or three just to have but wouldn't start a collection of them. IMO

I have not those, but the GOF 2007, the two that I've had have been good.

Re: AF God of Fire 2005 are they worth it?
Just had a Don Carlos gifted to me so I plan to try one very soon. But I bought a box of the Carlitos after trying one tubo because I was blown away by the cigar. Everyone is different, some may think the price to high, others my say it's worth every penny. Such as myself. I'll post again after I smoke My Don Carlos to give my
on it.

I've nothing to add to this thread other than hear say. Which is they are great.
I've always wanted to try a GOF but have yet to find a single. One day maybe...

Something being 'worth it' is different for everyone. I thought the cigars were great (Don Carlos).
I would say go for it. Extremely smooth and flavorful cigars. |

I have never had a GOF(I was gifted one but my son smoked it.), but since they are Fuentes, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a few.

My personal experience is that the Carlitos are very very good and the Carlos is not so good in my opinion. Which is of course why I have a box of Carlos lol.

Buy one, smoke it. If you like it buy a few more to collect, smoke, or save for a special occasion.

Re: AF God of Fire 2005 are they worth it?
I have smoke a two or three of both blends. I think they were both very well made cigars, but I was not blown away by them. I think the blend by Carlito was the better of the two. I have a few more that have been in the humi for a few months, so I will give them another try and see if they have settled down. Most of the ones have have smoked didn't sit for a long time, so they may have to wet in the B&M humi and that could have effected the taste. I think you will just have to buy a few and see what you think, because everybody has different tastes.

Re: AF God of Fire 2005 are they worth it?
They're good smokes but I would just buy 2 of them, smoke one, put one away and if you like the 1st one you can always snag some more. Certainly not the best smoke in the world for the money, more hype than anything.

Re: AF God of Fire 2005 are they worth it?
I've had one and it was VERY good. However, it's hard for any cigar to be worth $20+. On that same note, I could probably justify buying a couple for a special occasion.

It's like anything else that is expensive. If you want it, buy it and smoke it. It's no different than spending big bucks at a steakhouse and tomorrow it's poop.
