Cigar.com and CI = same address???

One of the young chimps I'm shoving down the slope received 2 boxes in the mail today. One was his order from cigar.com and the other CI. The address listed for each was the same.

Does anyone know if they're owned by the same parent company or if maybe they just use the same huidified warehouse to ship from?

Good question. I am not sure. I know cigars.com is waay more expensive. I know that Cigars International and Cigar Bid are the same company.

They share a warehouse. I asked that question on the old Amback cigar board and was answered by a senior member of Cigar.com that it was just a sharing of a warehouse. Another indication is that the home office of Cigar.com is in Illinois and the home office of Cigars International is in Pennsylvania. Hope that this helps.

I thought the sharing warehouse idea was probable due to the 2 sites price differences, but you never know!

As far as I know Cigar.com was using CI as a dropshipper of cigars. Then CI purchased the company in full a few years ago. There is a separate office for Cigar.com but CI is the parent.

cigars international is owned by swedish match if i understand correctly...they control the majority of non cuban cigar market i think...they may own cigar.com at the rate they move

I got to talk to a General Cigar Company rep this past week and got this answered in full finally once and for all. Swedish Match Owns CI, CI runs cigar.com and C-Bid. Swedish match also owns the company General Cigars. General Cigars operates a ton of (american) brands including Partagas, Punch, Bolivar, HdM, Cohiba, Don Tomas, Macanundo, Stratavarius, Helix, El Rico Habano, Sancho Panza and some others. Beyond that Swedish Match also operates a few brands directly including White Owl, Garcia y Vega, Hajenius and some others.

So all in all yes, Cigar.com and Cigar international are connected, but also in a much larger scale then just those two sites.
