Tiny Boveda packets

Hey guys,

I just purchased an Xikar 3 finger travel case. I got it in the mail today and it looks and smells great from the leather and Spanish cedar. I received a bomb from hogz last week and in the package, he put a tiny....like paper thin, handy wipe sized Boveda humidity packet. I have never seen these at my local B&M....only the larger packets. Can someone please tell me where I can purchase these packets? These packets look to be the only one's that will fit in the case without obstructing the cigars. Would anyone recommend another type of humidification device besides these packets in the Xikar travel case?

Thanks!
Jonathan

Re: Tiny Boveda packets

I learned the hard way that the ones on the Boveda site are the bigger ones. Damned if I can find the ones in the 'hooker-wipe' size.

Re: Tiny Boveda packets

Do you know what the RH % was (should be marked on there somewhere).

I have seen tiny ones but they tend to be in hygro calibrating kits.

I think I got mine either from Heartfelt or cigarmony.

I hope this works for you.

Re: Tiny Boveda packets

At 69 % it would not be the calibration kit.

Sorry for the wild goose chase I am lost as well - I have never seen a boveda other then the standard size except calibration kit, unless it came out of a Fuente box I know I removed a Boveda pack from a GOF box I bought.

That won't help you on the search to buy them but might explain there origin.

Re: Tiny Boveda packets

Are they actually "Boveda" brand packets? The smallest size I can find on the internet is 4" x 3"...

Re: Tiny Boveda packets

Unfortunately I don't exactly remember where I got them...they did come in a shipment from a reseller in the past month...which one is the question

It was either...newhavanacigars, CI, famous, cigar.com, or thecubanshop.com...I'm leaning toward thecubanshop. Apologies for my crappy memory

Re: Tiny Boveda packets

DonnieW - Those are the larger packets that you found. The one's that I was talking about are much smaller....like hand wipe packs.

Lightning9191 - Those are very good, but the problem with those is that they swell up so it would eliminate a space for 1 out of 3 cigars. To much room to lose when it only holds 3 sticks to begin with.

I think Mr. Mauro was right for the group by....those were for the smaller one's.
