This is the first time this has happened to me.

Had a Don Carlos Edicion de Anivarsario tonight with no dinner before hand. Started out like a normal buzz but I was literally shaking on the drive home. My right foot was even twitching trying to hold the gas down (thank God for cruise control). Got back and had to lie down. Had a Barq's during the cigar and some crab Rangoon when I got home. Feeling a bit better but dang.

Now I know this sickness people speak of. I feel like such a noob.

I brought an Anejo to Daytona bike week this year and had to pull over to puke on the way home and was pale when I got home. I had drank only two beers but did eat some dodgy sausage and peppers from a street vendor. 1 hour later, face down in a retention ditch on the side of Interstate 4 eastbound.

It came on halfway through the Shark I had saved for the occasion.

First and last time I experienced that, thank goodness. Haven't even wanted to smoke another Anejo since.

Partagas black destroyed me when I didn't eat anything all day, I love this cigar though...yum partagas anything rule...give them a try if you haven't... I usually try to drink something sweet if I haven't eaten, seems to help take some of the edge off.

your such a noob, David. I've had two in the past with mixed reviews. As a matter of fact, I smoked them both with different amounts of food in my gullet...I think that was the factor!

I am no stranger to strong cigars and I have had one of these before. It had to be the lack of dinner but I had a big breakfast and lunch. Heck, Anejos are one of my favorites and I can handle LFD DL like they are candy cigarettes. I wonder if my run before added to the equation?

I feel fine now, the Rangoon must have done its job.
