Re: Opinions on Puros Indios?
I just smoked the Classic and I enjoyed it quite a bit...
The cigar was a not too visually pleasing, it had lots of black marks along that wrapped and part of the cap was folded over itself. The cigar was soft and squishy and seemed a bit under filled. I used my Palio for a nice quick cut and then fired up the Ronson to toast the foot. The cigar had a pretty loose draw but burned very well, straight and even with no touch ups required. Additionally the Classic produced lots of thick creamy smoke... It was very mild, but smooth never harsh or bitter. I was able to "nose smoke" the entire length of the cigar. I was tasting some sweetness here and there while also getting a tea like flavor, I found it enjoyable... I would give the smoke about a 87-88 on the 100 point scale and I would smoke another. What is the MSRP on this stick?

Re: Opinions on Puros Indios?
I used to think they where OK, 3-4 years ago. But the few I have smoked the last couple of years I didn't care for. I ended up giving away the few I had left in my humi.
Just not my cup of tea, anymore. Mark

Re: Opinions on Puros Indios?
I find them to be a bit strong and a little harsh on the old tongue.

Re: Opinions on Puros Indios?
I tried the classic yesterday. It was sent to me free of charge from Reyes Family Cigars. It's nothing to write home about.
It was, I believe, a piramide (their spelling) #2. It was not the normal pyramid shape though. More like the Indian Tabac Teepee shape with a pointed tip. The foot had small splits in the wrapper. The color was dull and the cigar was softer than my usual brands. It was a mild cigar with tastes was of cedar, leather and some pepper. The flavor stayed constant most of the way with a short finish. It did burn evenly but, started to get hot with about 3 inches left on it. I tossed it at this point. Not that it was tasting bad, just that the taste was not that great and the cigar was too soft and getting hotter. This cigar reminded me VERY much of some Indian Tabacs I had bought a while back. I was not too fond of these either. Some may like this cigar although, I did not like it much. I do appreciate the opportunity to try this cigar free of charge.

Re: Opinions on Puros Indios?
Never had a problem with any PI's from the green label or the reservas at all I always just make sure to take the time to let them rest for a few months and go from there. But like the saying goes one mans trash is another mans treasure.
