I'll second stfoley on the Punch London Club.

I'm a big Perdomo fan. Actually the Perdomo Reserve Champagne would be a perfect cigar for my needs if it were cheaper.
I wish these Slow Aged were available in 5 packs from CI. I could add one on the next time I order a Joe Cigar daily deal & get free shipping. I've vowed not to buy boxes of cigars unless I am familiar with them. I have many many mediocre cigars in my humidor that I've bought on "deals". Most are OK but I always grab cigars I like better when I want a smoke.
I prefer to buy singles from a B&M then look for deals if I want to buy boxes.

Cbid has fivers of them all the time. They are great smokes in either wrapper. But I prefer the toros.

For an everyday smoke, I really like Habanos Puros H2000 torps from Uncle Mikey. Cuban sandwich, so the burn is not always perfect, but the flavors are excellent.

Send me your addy by PM, I'll send you some to try. He calls them maduro on his site, I dont like maduros, but I like these .... I think the wrappers are more accurately called sungrown.

About a buck 50 per shipped.

Re: What this country needs is a good $2 cigar

The one catch on your request is that it only last 20-30 minutes.
Presuming that you're not a Huffer, & that you don't want to waste 1/2 a smoke, this narrows the field.
My best suggestion is:

Felipe Dominicana Fat Boy (3.5" x 52 ring) - My last buy was 50 for $40 (w/shipping incl'd) on CBid. They usually go for a bit more, but not much.
Tasty mild-medium smoke, woody with floral undertones. Similar to a Romeo y Julieta 1875.

I know you said you prefer fatter over thinner, but consider Petite Coronas, 4" x 46 ring. Good deals can be had on several of these, & they last me 40 minutes or more.

Try our bundle, Flor De Oliva. They are all handmade long filler and can be had on the internet for a very cheap price.

Perdomo Fresh rolled cuban wheels are also pretty good. There 1.60 a stick from CI. They come in Toro, Robusto, Torpedo, and double corona.
