Ashton ESG, worth $25.00?

I happen to be smoking a 21 Year right now - my first. It is a sun grown wrapper of course. Molasses sweetness to the smoke reminds somewhat of an African Cameroon wrapper. I really like it but I wouldn't pay $25 for it....I haven't smoked a cigar yet that I would pay $25 for. Perfect construction, draw, and burn and yes the flavor seems one dimensional but it is a flavor I like. I got it from rwhit37 in a MAW. I would give it an 8.5 out of 10 as a very good everyday smoke, especially in the morning. I would pay $5-7 for this cigar. I'm curious to see if the 20 year smokes any different. Ricky gave me one of these as well.

I want to finish the evening with an exceptional cigar. I'll have a few cocktails in me so I probably want a stronger cigar. I have a few Opus X, RP Decades, Camacho Selects & various Pepin Garcia sticks in my box but I was wondering if I should pick up an Ashton ESG @ my local cigar store. I've never smoked one but I've had their VSG which I found a bit lacking in strength.

Yes, the ESG is an exceptional cigar. I like the 21yr. better than the 20yr.
As I sit here smoking a VSG I feel that the VSG is the more full bodied than the ESG.
Is it worth $25.00? No.

No. I have smoked a few and would not spend $20+ on them again. Don't get me wrong, but they are nice, but not $20+ nice.

If you have the budget, give it a try.

With that said, I think the ESG taste like regardless of the price.

Not too bad, but for $25 I'd rather buy a Cohiba EL Pyramide.

ESGs are great $8 smokes, but since you can't get them for that price, I won't buy em.
